10:02am - This is strange, Ed & Samantha have been missing now since Saturday. Well, Saturday was the last time they were here. Nobody has heard from them. Odd.. John did the same thing to us a two weeks ago. Then later we found out that he had taken another job but never bothered to call and let anybody know. Is this the same thing that happened with these two? We're running short on employees now.
6:12pm - Unbelievable. Ed & Samantha came in to pick up their checks today. Looks like they decided to quit also. I can't believe it. That is 4 employees we've lost in the last 2 weeks. 3 of them didn't even bother to tell anybody they were quitting and 2 of those were manager positions! It isn't like they were disgruntled with the job, either. John appearently quit 2 weeks ago because it was too far for him to drive. He lives in Burleson. However, he lived there when he took the job. Ed and Samantha quit because something to do with a custody battle he is having with his children and his ex-wife and something to do with child-support being taken out of his paycheck. So, I would think the employer deserves at least a call saying "hey, I quit" instead of leaving everybody wondering if we need to hire new employees. The 4th employee wasn't really lost, that would be Amanda who was fired yesterday. Oh well, at least I won't have to hear any more of Ed's cocmamy fish stories about computers. The guy Adam who was hired a few days ago seems very knowledgable about computers. I heard a customer ask him about a DVD ROM drive and he gave an intelligent answer. When I heard a customer ask Ed a similar question a few weeks ago I heard him tell the customer "Well, you need some software with this drive to play movies. It has to slow the laser down on the disc so that it can read the movie." That was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever heard. Of course, you do have to have software in order to play a movie, but that isn't the reason you need it.
