10:02pm - I'm getting just a little fed up with my server. I thought I was going to make evrything better by simplifying the setup. I seemed to have failed. Now I am getting unexpected results: SCSI Parity errors. I'm not sure of the cause or solution yet. Since the faults only come from the drives connected to the Ultra-wide bus I'm going to take the last one out in a little bit and change the style of termination. Perhaps that will help. Otherwise I have found that reducing the throuput speed from the Adaptec BIOS screen seems to remove any symptoms but now the drives operate at half-speed. Of course, I'm mostly interested in storage capacity and not speed but I'd like to have both.
