10:17am - Yesterday we spent a lot of time at mom & dad's house since we were celebrating Mike's birthday. We ate Chicken Enchiladas and Fajitas. I also took one of the tarps off the duck pen so they could enjoy a little sunlight since it is warming up now. Tracey is wearing a small cast on her wrist due to an accident she had the other day ice-skating. I've been keeping a close eye on the war. It looks like our ground forces will reach Baghdad probably tommorow sometime.

It is hard to believe but I am just now getting finished encoding all those Red Dwarf episodes I ripped from the two DVDs I rented. It has been a long slow process, of course It hass been taking an average of 12 hours per episode to encode and there were 12 episodes plus several special features. Not to mention I've been so busy with other stuff I haven't always been able to get to my computer to start the next one going.

On a similar note, by the way, our Apex DVD player has broken. For some reason it will no longer recognize any media on CD. However, it still plays DVDs fine. I suspect it has a dual-laser system and one of the lasers is burned out. Naturally, I'm too broke to replace it so I'll have to live with it until we have the money to buy a new player.
