8:42am - Just watching Hailey in the livingroom while Leslie does whatever it is she does all morning long.. Hailey has been very talkative the last few days making more and varied sounds and making baby-sentences that sounds like she's carrying on a conversation in some other language. She is also finally making a little progress towards walking on her own. We've gotten her to take as many as 4 steps by herself. I have taken some video of her a couple of days ago but haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet. It seems like I've been Hailey's primary babysitter for the last several days since Leslie always has something to do which requires me to babysit. Honestly, I'm getting a little annoyed at that. I never leave the house during a time which Leslie is also home and leave Leslie by herself to babysit. I either go some other time, or I take hailey with me.

Leslie has called a few of these lasik-eye centers but nobody will ever answer the phone and they won't return the phone calls either when she leaves a message. I guess that means they have plenty of business and aren't hurting for customers. That also explains the inflated prices. I suppose when more competition is about those customer bases will start getting thinner and prices will drop.

7:23pm - I think most of the severe symptoms of my illness are gone. I can still feel some swelling in my neck and it does hurt occasionally but it isn't nearly as severe as it has been. I haven't had to take any pain medicine in several days now. ALthough there have been a few times I thought I would. Right now it is sort of hurting on the right side of my neck but the vast majority of the day there has been no pain at all. If what I had was in fact mono, which I believe it probably was, then it is just about time for me to start getting over it since it usually takes about 4 weeks. I just looked back in my journal and it was March 15th that I first came down with the severe symptoms and that was over 3 weeks ago. So this is week 4.

Leslie finally sent in the tax return yesterday evening. We did it electronically so we should have it within 7 to 10 days. I'm very tempted to buy one of those new Sony handheld computers (The Clie TJ37) which has built-in 802.11 wireless capabilities. Unfortunatly, they are $299. Maybe if I wait a while, they will come down in price or a new one will come out making the old ones sell cheaper on ebay or something.
