9:20pm - Today was the first official day of my vacation. I didn't get as much done as I'd like. Part of the problem was that once I actually went to attempt the task of constructing the nose-cone, I realized my plan would not work and I had to re-think the whole thing and do a lot of calculations. I think I have a much more solid plan now and it is already begun. However, there is one small thing left to deal with. Originally, when I constructed the back half of the shuttlecraft I left 4 steel bars sticking out which I figured would carry on to the floor in the front. However, in my new plan those are unneccessary and I'm not certain whether it is going to be more difficult to cut them off or work around them.

Leslie is currently building a flower bed in the front yard. That is what she wanted to spend her vacation time doing. So far so good..

We took Leslie's car to Saturn this morning. WHen Seth had it up on the lift the other day and we were walking around underneath it, I noticed the transmission was leaking. Seth also noticed that the right-front strut was leaking and that the drive belt was torn. Anyway, THey fixed the transmission but couldn't find a leak in the strut. THat is because once I got there and talked to the technician I found out that they were looking at the wrong one. ALso they said the drive belt was a maintenance item and I had to pay for that. Anyway, I left the car with them until tommorow.

I got on the front page of a2central.com today which is a site devoted to Apple computer geeks. That is because I managed to hack together an LCD screen for a Sony playstation and made it work on an Apple IIgs in RGB mode. It was actually quite simple, just nobody had thought of it before.
