Commodore 64c HI-RES Pictures

No collector could be complete without the 64c! This was probably the most popular version of the C64.. Well, at least most people I knew that had one either had one of these or wanted one. It is essentially the same computer as the older 64, only redesigned to look nicer and many of the chips are combined and more reliable. I got this one off of ebay. I have the original box for it too. Normally you'd expect to see a 1541-c or a 1541-II diskdrive, but I don't have either so the 1571 matches good. Some people used 1084 monitors with their 64c, so the monitor matches okay. I think the C64c is a beautiful system. I bought this one off of ebay for $10 recently and it is in original box and pristine condition. This is my favorite Commodore system of all time. When I get a machine out to play with I always grab this one. I know most people generally think of the dark-gray (or brown if it has faded) Commodore 64 of 1982 being the genuine article. But this difference on my part is probably for the fact that I only had one of those for a short time until it broke. Then my dad got me a 64c system instead and I used that one for most of the later part of the 1980's. I think this was also the first system I had a modem on and started to call BBS's. I started with a 300 baud manual modem, and then got a 1660 tone-dial 300-baud. Later on got a 1670 modem, which was 1200 baud. I think that is the one I used for most of my BBS years until the Amiga came along.
